NHS Library Essentials

St George's Library provides a full library and knowledge service for all NHS staff from our affiliated trusts St George's University Hospitals Foundation NHS Trust and South West London and St. George's Mental Health Trust. Join via our online registration form to access print books and a variety of electronic resources including databases, electronic journals, and e-books.

The main library is based at St George's, 1st Floor, Hunter Wing, and offers quiet group study space, silent study space, and computer rooms.

There is also a self-service Library based at Queen Mary's Hospital, 1st Floor, Jasmine Suite.

Opening Hours

The Library is currently open 8am to 11pm Monday to Friday and 9am to 9pm Saturday and Sunday.   

 

The library help desk is staffed from 8am to 6pm, Monday to Friday.

After 6pm on weekdays and during the weekend, there is a security

staff presence only and the library is entirely self-service.

      

The Computer Rooms are currently open 24/7

 

There are 4 computers on the NHS network. To book, contact the

library help desk.                      

 

NHS staff can also use the university computers and library laptops.

Ask at the library help desk for details.

      

Library conduct

  

No food is permitted in the Silent Study areas.

Drinks (in lidded containers) and cold foods are allowed in the Library Foyer, Quiet Study area and in Group Discussion Rooms.

Mobile phones: Mobile phones are permitted but calls must be made or taken outside the library.

Please respect others by observing the specific rules displayed in the Quiet and Silent study areas.
