Printing at St George's

The university printers are multi-functional devices which incorporate printers, photocopiers, and scanners in one.

All printers are colour and black and white. They are available in the library and in the computer rooms and you can release your documents on any of the printers shown below. You must have an SGUL username and password to use the printers; NHS staff can receive an SGUL username and password from the Library Helpdesk once they have registered to use the library.

Printing is free for SGUL staff and students. For NHS staff, see the table of charges below:

  • black and white printing:
    • A4: 5p per sheet, 6p double-sided
    • A3: 9p per sheet, 11p double-sided
  • colour printing:
    • A4: 18p per sheet, 27p double-sided
    • A3: 27p per sheet, 33p double-sided

NHS Staff can top up their printing credit by visiting the Library Helpdesk Monday-Friday, 08:00 - 18:00 or by using the cash loader in the Main Library Computer Room.

This is a guide to all you need to know about printing. Navigate by using the tabs at the top of the page.

To top-up and check your balance you can use the cash-loader in the main computer room by manually typing in the login username and password you use for SGUL networked computers. This accepts coins and notes but does not give change.
