Staff Support

One of the core components of the National Standards for Bereavement Care Following Pregnancy Loss and Perinatal Death is Staff Support;  “Staff Support services relating to bereavement care reflects the need for peer support and professional support systems” (HSE 2016: 55).

The Staff Support Document (below) sets out key recommendations for the implementation of Standard 4 as it relates to Staff Support within Irish Maternity Services in the Republic of Ireland. The Staff Support document is to be used in conjunction with HSE HR policies and procedures on staff support.
